Delta Israel 60th Anniversary Limited Edition Rollerball Pen (1948 pieces) Sterling Silver. In 1948 the nation of Israel declared independence and in 2008 Israel celebrates its 60th anniversary. Due to the great success of the Israel 50 Collection introduced ten years ago to celebrate Israel's Jubilee, Delta is now creating the Israel 60 Collection to celebrate this important celebration, Israel's 60th anniversary. The ISRAEL 60 collection offers 1,948 covertible ballpens/rollerballs, with trimmings in sterling silver with aged finish. The collection is hand turned from solid bars of blue and black resin. It features in the top of the cap a medal featuring the Samech, the fifteenth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, which represents the number 60. The central ring in solid sterling silver 925% is engraved with the Menorah, the official symbol of the state of Israel, a synonym of peace and friendship between peoples. The clip is made of solid sterling silver 925% and reproduces the Yad. A Yad, literally "hand", is a jewish ritual pointer, used to point to the text during the Torah reading, to prevent anyone from touching the sacred parchment. The sterling silver nib is medium.
